Cut and Paste broken?
« Thread started on: Jan 31st, 2015, 11:35pm » |

I have received a report that Cut and Paste is broken in the BB4W program editor. Specifically, that if you cut something onto the clipboard you cannot paste it back into BB4W, although you can paste it into other applications!
This apparently happens on multiple PCs so would appear to be a bug in BB4W, in which case it is most surprising that is has gone unnoticed for more than 13 years.
To gauge how widespread this is, if you are also experiencing the problem please reply to this thread, including details of the version of Windows and anything else you think may be relevant.
Richard.

I just tested this under Win7 64bit. It works fine. Eddy

The customer can't get cut/paste to work at all, on two machines. Apparently drag/drop fails too. I have refunded his payment for BB4W.

Hi Richard,
That's a shame: I'm sure I've done it lots of times, both within a window and between them, copying routines for example.
I've just tried, and it works fine using right-click cut/paste, using control x/v and using the edit menu, in both Windows 7 (64 bit) and Windows 8 (64 bit). Drag and drop seems fine, too.
Best wishes,
D

I have never had any problems using cut/paste. Right click, menu or ctrl x/v. Win xp, win7 32, win7 64. Always working perfectly.
