You're right there are some settings to change that on a per user basis, of course there are several ways of achieving anything the script was just one.
Confused! My post was a reply to an earlier one. How come it's now the first in the thread?
Possibly Jon deleted his original message, leaving yours as the first message in the thread rather than the second. There doesn't seem to be any time limit on when somebody can delete a message they posted.
