I am wondering, did we meet all those years ago in 1980/1? I and John Coll were closely involved in the development of BBC BASIC. We were at Oundle School at the time.

Not as far as I know, but even if there was a chance of me remembering that far back you haven't divulged your real name! Of course I've met John several times since, most recently at the Beeb@30 reunion in 2012 I expect.

I'm afraid it doesn't ring a bell. I only came on the scene in 'round two' after the Newbrain had been ditched and the BBC realised, belatedly, that it should involve BBC Engineering in the selection process (which culminated in Acorn being chosen).
