scriptbasic: thanks for chipping in on the subject of my IF statement problems; I need all the help I can get. I thought I understood Boolean (I am familiar with truth tables), but obviously not well enough. Your analysis of my confusion was correct.

There was no need to start a new thread; it's confusing.

If your reply was an attempt at a Private Message (PM), that is not how you do it. Instead, click on the PM icon to the left of the message you are responding to, or click through to the originator's profile and then select 'Send this member a private message'.
