Those of you who read Raymond Chen's blog (and if you don't, I urge you to change your ways) will find that in today's instalment he links to this highly amusing article - albeit that some of the references may be lost on non-British (or young) readers:

I would just like to point out that the only Unicode encoding supported natively by BBC BASIC for Windows is UTF-8. grin
