You ever tried to make a role playing game? Like a overhead view style where you kill things and can get enhancements and gear?
I think that RPGs have really been on the back burner with MMOs dominating.

I think the closest I've ever come to making an RPG is 'Crystal Hunter' - which probably nowhere near qualifies as an RPG!
Is an RPG the kind of project that you would consider undertaking?

It is one of my objectives. I have seen 1 RPG from a person on a different language. He spent 3 years working on it. As a 7 year player on World of Warcraft I do have an idea of what a rpg game should have for elements of play. 1) a crisis 2) a hero 3) the ability to enhance and upgrade gear and weapons 4) merchants 5) silly situations 6) combat mechanics 7) preferably action bars (1-4) and mouse
I would say Like Diablo, but with elements of WOW. 2D overhead with perspective.
But before this can be done.. there needs to be fire types and structures with a degree of vegetation. They would need to be reusable. They would also have to have near the same quality as on the first Diablo.
Here is a link to the 1997 Diablo: https://youtu.be/FgB5sjDPEV4
You will have to skip the intro to see the game play.

Here it is:
http://www.proggies.co.uk/progs/zip/threebodymayhem.zip (EXE; 10.4 MB)
Most of the file size is taken up by the music (MP3) file and sound effects.
You may get less hassle (or even none at all) from Windows' anti-malware security system if you extract the 'Three Body Mayhem' folder (which contains the EXE) from the Zip folder first, before trying to run the program.
It's a difficult game (but so is the original); you'll need concentration and quick reactions! My highest score so far is 41.
I can give a link to the source code if anyone requests it, but I am not keen on this game being played with the program in a non-'compiled' state because of potential performance issues.

Nice game. And, as you said, difficult. The game would be more compelling if the speed would start (a lot) more slowly and then gradually increases over time.
